Time Bandits can trace it's beginnings back to the summer of 2020, when Mark and Kathy McCormick discovered estate sales. Hitting the sales quickly became a standing Saturday morning date. While they always had a love for antiques, they discovered a love for the hunt. Soon, they had favorites they looked for: Kathy loves antique furniture, crystal, and china and Mark enjoys silver and furniture, but old clocks quickly became his favorite. He taught himself clock repair to satisfy his love of tinkering. Finding that there are very few who repair antique clocks these days, he decided to put out his shingle, so to speak!
More and more, the stories behind their finds became just as appealing as the finds themselves. They enjoy digging into the past to learn more about their treasures. Rescuing items that may otherwise be discarded for future generations to appreciate became the goal. After all, you can't have a three hundred year old teapot if someone didn't keep it when it was fifty years old!
